We've shared last time the full English translation of Pope Leo XIV's address to the Spanish Parliament. This time, we would like to share to you another impactful speech given in the Pope's 2026 Apostolic Journey to Spain. This is the discourse on art and religion...

Pope Leo XIV’s Address to the Spanish Parliament [Full English Translation]

On the 8th of June 2026, Pope Leo XIV became the first Pope to address the Spanish Cortes (Parliament). It was attended by both members of the House of Deputies and the Senate with the presence of political parties except the extreme left Podemos and BNG (a Galician...

On the First Anniversary of the Pontificate

As I write this (8 May 2026), the Church is celebrating the First Anniversary of the election of the Holy Father Leo XIV to the See of Peter. I can still remember the excitement and joy I felt a year ago when I was in our TV room with other priests and brothers of the...

Is the War in Iran Just?

Since the outbreak of the 2026 US-Israel-Iran War and later on with the very public spat between the White House and the Holy See, internet search for the Just War Theory has spiked world wide. Politicians of all ideologies and internet sleuths were dabbling in...

Trump’s Pope Leo Problem

My co-host Russel told me that as good Catholics, we do not need to “stand for” or “defend” the Pope as is common whenever a public attack happens, especially now that a very public spat is happening between the Vicar of Christ and the President of the United States...

Artificial Intelligence: Does It Concern Us All?

AI is integrated into daily life, influencing various sectors like social media and e-commerce. Although it once felt futuristic, generative AI systems like ChatGPT have made it tangible and relatable. Ethical concerns arise from privacy risks and biases, prompting reflections on human dignity and the importance of maintaining a sense of limit in technology.

Why modernism suck?

I was watching a BBC (or is it CNN?) report on US President Donald Trump’s renovations in the White House, especially the most controversial East Wing Ballroom. As part of his MAGA movement, Trump is also advocating for a “Make America Beautiful Again” and thus...

Where do we stand on AI?

Yup, you might be getting tired of it, but here I am, just a few days after Christmas, writing about AI. Well, for various reasons.  First of all, Merriam-Webster announced that 2025’s Word of the Year is “slop”, that is, AI slop or that low quality AI generated...

Saint Catherine of Alexandria: Philosopher, Mystic, and Martyr

A few days ago, we celebrated World Philosophy Day (4th Thursday of November), a celebration mandated by the UN. Back in university, this was a big day for us philosophy majors. I often wondered why we celebrated it in November (though I’m not complaining, since it’s...

Understanding Christ’s Kingship: Mercy Over Power

If there's one Gospel that redefines what “kingship” looks like, it’s today’s reading. For the Solemnity of Christ the King, the Church gives us Luke 23:35–43. Not a scene of glory, but of a bruised and silent Jesus hanging on the Cross. And yet, sa mismong eksenang...

Lennon

Lennon

Russel and Lennon had been friends since childhood. They started as Altar Servers of their parish where they began to love Sophia -wisdom- and search for her. Reading and discussing anything that tickles their curiosity, the two friends began to research and share more of their knowledge in religion, society, and philosophy.

With the two now living their life in their own distinct fields -Russel is a civil servant while Lennon is a consecrated person- their passion and vocation of teaching compelled them to open up their private friendly discussions to wider set of friends through TUUMT.
