How to lose an election (or at least, not to win it)

10 easy steps Have you been selected to run for office against your will? Or maybe you were running but were betrayed by your party mates who forced you to give way to their handpicked candidate so you want to stick it up to the bosses? Fear no more, here are ten easy...

Notes from the reliquary

Relics, in their quiet presence, serve as markers of our shared faith journey. They remind us that faith, though it may dim, can be reignited. The relics I once pursued are now relics of my past, yet they remain beacons of continuity—a reminder that, even in seasons...

Defining human through the non-human: an anthropology through the lens of J.R.R. Tolkien and C.S. Lewis

Last year, after reading Chesterton and Tolkien as Theologians by Alison Milbank (Bloomsbury, 2009; I read the Spanish translation titled La teología de Chesterton y Tolkien, Granada: Editorial Nuevo Inicio, 2022), I fell into the rabbit hole of devouring every Lord...

Being Left Alone Gliding

The Phenomenology of the Betrayed People hates betrayal. Yet, it is no strange phenomenon among individuals. Every person experiences betrayal: either as the betrayed or the betrayer. Every person has his/her own way to see it. Thus, it would take eternity to define...

The typological reading of “Eve-Mary” in early christian authors

INTRODUCTION The development of Mariology starts from the reflections of the first Fathers of the Church on the role that the Mother of Jesus plays in the history of salvation. The Fathers of this period rarely wrote exclusively about Mary, but always in connection...

Let the waves of the sea take you: the spirituality of Etty Hillesum and Simone Weil

One of the images that I like the most when describing the relationship between man and his Creator is the image of the sea illustrated by the Jesuit Thomas Green (1). In it, Green uses the metaphor of the sea for the image of God. Man can do two things when he finds...

Lennon

Lennon

Russel and Lennon had been friends since childhood. They started as Altar Servers of their parish where they began to love Sophia -wisdom- and search for her. Reading and discussing anything that tickles their curiosity, the two friends began to research and share more of their knowledge in religion, society, and philosophy.

With the two now living their life in their own distinct fields -Russel is a civil servant while Lennon is a consecrated person- their passion and vocation of teaching compelled them to open up their private friendly discussions to wider set of friends through TUUMT.
